Sewing room art

A few years ago, I stumbled upon a photograph of a quilter's sewing room that showcased a metal sign with the word 'cotton' on it, sparking a creative vision I couldn't shake.

After searching off and on for a couple of years, I decided to take matters into my own hands and design my own version using my embroidery machine and assembling it using my sewing machine.

The result is a vibrant statement piece that celebrates my passion for quilting.

The background quilting is from Kimberbell designs, and the appliqué font is from Designs by Juju. I chose black and white Kona Cotton to give it a sleek, modern look. While my inspiration piece had a more rustic feel with its painted weathered look on metal, I opted to add a black binding to frame my COTTON sign, giving it a polished finish.

I hope my journey inspires you to unleash your creativity and bring your own unique vision to life.

No matter the season, creativity is always in bloom here in mySecret Garden Sewing Room.
