Kitchen Space Efficiency
I'm a firm believer in keeping my kitchen countertops clutter-free, and I'm thrilled to have achieved this goal. You see, my open-design kitchen looks stunningly organized, even with just a few items on the countertop.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have a spacious walk-in pantry and ample shelving to store my small kitchen appliances. I love being able to pull them out, use them, and then return them to their designated spot in the pantry.
When I had my bath products business, I relied on my trusty KitchenAid stand mixer, which I cleverly stored on an IKEA Raskog cart on wheels. After we sold our house in MA and moved to NC, we lived in an apartment for a year while our new home was being built. Despite the apartment kitchen's compact size, we optimized its space beautifully. I utilized the Raskog cart to store my mixer and spices, and it continues to serve me well in my current kitchen, where it remains my go-to storage solution for my mixer and spices.
Our kitchen has limited drawer space, so utilizing the lower baskets of my cart just made sense for me to continue to use it as my spice rack.
Note that I do not use my mixer in the cart; I only store it there. For safety reasons, please do not use your mixer on anything that is not a solid, stable surface.
