The importance of leaving reviews

I'm a firm believer in leaving honest reviews. Be it in your hometown, out of town, out of state, or abroad, leave a Google review. It's even more important in our current economy.

People want honest reviews; is a particular menu item a good value? If so, what makes it so, or would you be better off making and eating lunch at home?

If reviewing a restaurant, mentioning what you liked and didn't like about the meal you ate is important. Was the restaurant clean? How was the seating situation? Did you have a wait time to be seated? How were the noise levels? How was the bathroom? Was it clean?

I mentioned bathrooms because at one restaurant we've been to a few times, the toilets are not bolted to the floor; you could literally twist the entire toilet to the right and to the left - talk about scary. I've mentioned this to staffers, and yet it remains an unaddressed issue. That's definitely a code violation.

Are you being served with chipped or cracked dishes or glassware? That needs to be noted. Have you received exceptional service? Then make sure to mention your server's name, because not all servers have a dedication to giving exceptional service.

Have you been to a hair salon and received a cut and color? Be sure to leave a review for the stylist and the salon. Have you purchased a new or used automobile? Leave a review about the experience. Have you recently taken your car in for some automotive repairs? How was that experience?

Be honest and write a review using the facts and not emotions.

Ps- I like to use photos in my reviews, whenever possible.
