Rotary cutter blades

As a quilter, you likely share my enthusiasm for capitalizing on sales and bulk purchases of rotary cutter blades. I am committed to maximizing savings on these essential tools.

Recently, I discovered that the oil used to prevent rust and facilitate smooth separation of the blades had degraded, becoming excessively sticky. To safely separate the blades, I employed a grip mat and a long sewing pin, exercising extreme caution to avoid accidental cuts due to the blades' exceptional sharpness. Following successful separation, I tackled the challenging task of removing the sticky residue from each blade using a kitchen and bathroom cleansing wipe. The image depicts the grime removed from one blade. To prevent rust and sticking, I applied a drop of specialized sewing machine oil, typically used for my vintage machines, to the blades before returning them to their protective case, which I also cleaned of any remaining residue.
