Singer Treadle Sewing Machine

In late 2022, we acquired an antique Singer treadle sewing machine with the intention of restoring both the machine and its cabinet. Although the treadle machine has been successfully refurbished, certain components of the cabinet were beyond repair due to years of neglect, which had taken a significant toll on the wood. To facilitate the display of the machine, my husband utilized his 3D printer to design and fabricate a custom display box. I am impressed by the sturdiness of the bespoke box, considering the machine weighs a substantial 25 pounds. The refurbished machine, now aptly named Pearl, is prominently showcased in my Secret Garden Sewing Room, situated atop my IKEA Kallax units, a major focal point in my sewing room.
